Friendship day started a way ago in 1935 and since then it is celebrated every year. It is now even considered as a holiday. It is usually celebrated on first Sunday of August.
This day is not only celebrated by youngsters or adults but also by kids and people of different age. On this day people exchange friendship bands, give gifts to each other, a lot of messages are send to friends and photographs and status are uploaded on facebook , twitter and on other networking sites as well.
